South End Park May Be Renovated Into Dog Paradise
(CBS4) BOSTON There’s a plan to turn a rundown park in Boston’s South End park into a paradise for pets.
The $250,000 proposal would create the city’s first sanctioned dog park, complete with dog water fountains, and designated areas for big and small dogs.
Peters Park will also be spruced up with custom benches, new trees and shrubs, and a wrought iron fence.
But not everyone in the neighborhood is behind the idea. Some are upset with the noise and mess the dogs create.
The city’s Parks and Recreation Commission is expected to vote on the issue next month. If the project is approved, construction could be finished by fall.

Most “mess” dogs create is from owners not picking up after them. This place sounds wonderful, as most doggy parks are, but owners need to be responsible for keeping the place nice!
