Hey!
Does anyone know if dogs are allowed on the T? And if they are, what are the rules or regulations? I have a small dog whom I’d love to take to some dogs parks only accessible to me by T. Thanks!

I’ve taken both my dogs (a 15lb mix and a purebred greyhound) on:
-buses
-trains/green line
-commuter rail
I heard that a bus driver has the right to refuse non service dogs, but this has never happened to me. at worst, i was asked not to place my smaller dog on the seats

Hi there…happy to report that my 7 lb. Silky Terrier rides the Green Line and the Red Line most everyday with me…we also often take the bus to Hingham from Quincy Center…never have we had any issues. I’ve also seen much larger breeds (non service pets), including Labs and German Shepherds ride with owners. The only pre requisite that I’m aware of is that the pet be leashed…a policy that should be implemented for some human commuters too!
