And I’m ready to get back into the DogBoston swing. Well, almost.
Emma - our Black lab - decided to show us how much of a Lab she is by chewing a few rocks in the backyard recently (last Saturday). Like any high quality lab, she eats anything including rocks, sticks, etc. The watch that you lost near my house, well… it’s probably in her stomach somewhere.

After her morning playtime with Tula, and a few hours of her being back in the house, I looked at her head and thought something looked a little non-symmetrical. One whole side of her face was swolllen and rounded (like a pit bull’s) as opposed to the more angular/squared off jawline of a lab… so I called the vet and they got her in there right away for a diagnosis and a surgery appointment.
Turns out the rock chewing this time had done her in. She cracked a tooth, causing it to splinter and go into her jaw - Ouch! We dropped her off at our vet (Neponset Animal Hospital) this A.M. and got her back around 5pm. They extracted the tooth and they have her on beef flavored Rimadyl… With my work and my wife taking our daughter to the doctor, it’s been a very busy day - quite a balancing act.
Hopefully I will have more time to work on the site later this week.

In the meantime, if you got this far, then you probably have been reading or using the site for a little while. I’m still working on a “cool” way to submit dog photos and put them into a nice photo gallery, still importing data from the old site, among some other things.
