Beheaded Dog Should Provoke Major Dog Law Changes

January 13th, 2007 · 6 Comments

Every now and then, there’s a really disgusting story about people that are so vile, so nasty, and truly so evil - that you wonder if hell would be actually be bad enough for them.

—-

November: 22 yr old dog owning woman (Jane) borrows a friends car. A Jaguar. She wrecks it. Causes about $15,000 worth of damage. Her “friend” is owner of a dog kennel Notorious B.L.U.E. Notorious is upset.

Last week: Jane has her “friends” watching her 2 dogs at the Notorious kennel in Mashpee. Guess what - her dogs head appears on the hood of her car !!!!

Do you suspect the kennel owners had anything to do with it? Hmmm. Gotta wonder about the kennel named after the “gangsta rapper” Notorious B.I.G. who was shot all the way back in 1997. Would you drop your dogs off at the Tupac Shakur Dog Kennels?

This DogBoston blogger turned into a temporary reporter, and through the magic of Google I found a lot of eye-opening coverage on the web related to Notorious B.L.U.E. Kennels of Mashpee. They are some of the most disgraceful people to be in the dog business.

Dowbrigade News

First of all, these are NOT the folks to leave Rover with while you go on vacation. Stay away from Notorious B.L.U.E Kennels -96 Algonquin Mashpee, MA 02649 - unless you think that beheading the canines in their care is standard operating procedure for dog breeders. Sheesh, you’d have to be wacked on nitrous to give your pets to people like that…..

Boston Globe Article

The dog owner told police that Clancy and Hayden were supposed to be watching her dogs, Nitrous and Nala, last week when Nitrous’s severed head turned up on the hood of her car. She said Clancy had threatened to kill her dogs if she didn’t pay $15,000 for damage she had caused to Clancy’s Jaguar when she crashed the borrowed car in November.

Rebecca Clancy, of Notorious B.L.U.E Kennels -96 Algonquin Mashpee,
MA 02649. Learn a lesson from me.- Do not purchase a dog from this lady. She sounds like an honest person who loves the breed but as soon as she receives your money, BAM! In your face! she’s a crook who just took you for any money you had sent her. Rebecca, will not return phone calls or emails that you send her once you pay for the pup. Writing and leaving messages for her to please send YOUR MONEY back will not work- This lady has a heart of stone. Beggin’ + Pleadin’ = No pup, No return of your money! Don’t waste your time.
Basically, I sent a stranger free money. (I guess I go to heaven for
doing a good deed!) There’s not much more I can say/write about Rebecca, except that she is good at what she does. Obviously! She put one over on me and my family. My four year old son does not understand the meaning of “ripped off” when I try and explain to him why his puppy is not here. Rebecca, if your reading this, charges have been filed. Everyone else, please do your research and good luck!

The Mashpee Health Department has a thick file of investigations into Notorious B.L.U.E. Kennels.

These people should be shut down permanently - they are disgraceful human beings and should not be allowed to infect another dog or another persons life. I say we put them in a kennel. And get them away from the internet.
If you haven’t had enough yet, there’s more stories out there… just search for “Rebecca Clancy Mashpee”

Here’s the link to her old website.

It certainly appears that these women should be shut down.
You say the case should provoke “major dog law changes”.
What sort of changes do you envision that would deal with breeders such as these?

Perhaps some sort of limited Kennel regulation/certification to stay running with occasional “spot” checks.

    Similar to the ideas here:

There have been quite a few laws and regulations bandied about, concerning breeding practices — unfortunately, they’ve gotten knocked down by the huge puppy millers and backyard agents. Almost all of the regs that have been proposed have included health checks by the FDA and/or Board of Health — which is just what is needed. So — if these breeders are so good and care so much, you have to ask yourself what they are afraid of?

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anybody did recieve a dog from Rebecca, I know she had her “kennel” up for a few years before the dog beheading incident happened.
2 years ago, I was in Plaistow New Hampshire Petco when a man with a blue pitbull puppy walked in.
I own blue dogs myself, however I never looked into buying Rebecca.
The man said his puppy’s name was “Lincoln” and he said he came from Notorious Blue Kennels. I remember looking at him and he was such a handsome guy!
I read about her sending someone a sick puppy and thats what brought this up.
His coat was beautiful, he was friendly and he supposidly was bred by Rebecca.
Let me know because that would be awfully strange if she just suddenly turned on everyone like that…
    Thanks for reading,

Rebecca sent us a very sick male dog, with his feet splayed so bad our vet said she should be jailed fro abuse. He had been kept in a kennel sooo long that he walked almost up to his “knees’ and he also had mange. This was a dog that she sold us to replace the $1360.00 she ripped us off on another dog we were supposed to get. It was a nightmare. She starts out sweet and knowledgeable….then u r hooked and she takes your $$$$$ and u r lucky to ever hear from her again. She is a loud foul mouthed gansta wannabe. The only reason I ever got any satisfaction is we called the police repeatedly. Kelly had an outstanding warrant so the police picked her up, and advised them to pay us or they would continue to come back as she was unlicensed…though nothing they could do really due to their lack of laws and internet fraud at the time.
So basically we pd $1360.00 for a dog we had to nueter immediately, due to the mange, and incur more expenses.
    SHE IS A CROOK!!!!!!!!!!!

We also bought a dog from Notoripous Blue Kennels (Rebecca), though we spent $2,500 on a Blue male and when we got his papers it clearly states Blue brindle. And he did have Demodex Mange when he was a pup, but we caught it on time. That was our complaint with her.
After reading all this about her and her girlfriend Kelly, I am more shocked and feel sorry for her dogs and hope they go to good homes.
Our Goliath is excellent tempered, beautiful (people stop to look at him all the time), just a excellent dog.
We love him lots, and lots.
When we bought him, we are from MA, so we visisted her alot, but we never got to see his mother, or a tour of the house which I thought was odd. His father Big Boss was 11 months to a year and Goliath clearly was his 8th litter. Which I feel is far to youg to breed.
Well, we did not get ripped off, as we did recieve a dog, but as stated above we did get taken for some things.
My prayers go out to you that had worse problems than us with this kennel.
    Good luck all!
    ~Aimee and Tony (Arlington)
