A Vancouver man could face life in prison for killing what has been described as a fantastic police dog. Apparently Dakota got the bullet that was intended to be a cop killing bullet. A fellow human was probably saved in the process, however it always stings to hear of a great 5-year old dog going down - especially when you have a 5 year old dog like me.  Dakota was named by a fifth grade elementary school class - I wonder how many of them were given this news and how they might be affected by something like this.
