You may have been disgusted as I was when learning about dog drying cages/boxes for the first time.
But relief may be on the way. A new Gloucester Times article reports that a state-wide ban on these cages could be in the works. If this passes, and with all the recent news about dog parks in Salem, Dorchester, Somerville and other communities, it looks like Massachusetts could be well positioned to start to become the country’s “dog friendliest state.”
Excerpt from the article:
Massachusetts could be the first state in the Union to license pet groomers and ban drying cages like the one alleged to have killed a Rockport greyhound in Gloucester last year if a bill filed by a state senator becomes law.
